Every seat in the state House and Senate is up for election AND the newly drawn district lines will take effect. This means that many of us are voting in new districts and that some districts don’t have incumbents running. These changes can present challenges as well as important opportunities.
Let’s use this occasion to engage in the electoral process, and ultimately, to elect future lawmakers who will respect our values. As Catholics, we have a duty to proclaim Christ to the culture, to vote for law makers who will uphold the common good, and to defend human life and dignity in the public square.
Key Dates for June Primary Election 2024
May 3, 2024
First day of in-person early voting at your local registrar’s office.
May 28, 2024
Deadline to register to vote or update an existing registration. (Voters may register to vote after this date, through Election Day, and vote using a provisional ballot).
June 7, 2024
Deadline to apply for a ballot to be mailed to you. Your request must be received by your local voter registration office by 5:00 p.m.
June 8, 2024
Voter registration offices open for early voting.
June 15, 2024 by 5:00 p.m.
Last day of in-person early voting at your local voter registration office.
June 18, 2024
Primary Election Day.
